Andy Blyth

Andy Blyth, a former England A international suffered a serious spinal injury while playing for the Sale Sharks in March 2000. Having been diagnosed a tetraplegic with little chance of walking, Andy has shown enormous courage to defy doctor's prognosis. Having shown incredible progress since leaving hospital, Andy is now able to move relatively freely and pursuing a career in Property Management.

In honour of Andy, the Blyth Spirit Award is now presented annually at the PRA Awards Dinner to an individual who has shown remarkable courage in the fast of adversity.
