Chris Mallet

A donation was made to Chris Mallet, the former London Wasps academy player who was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma (Lymphatic Cancer). Chris' retirement from the game followed three years of therapy; his fight proved an inspiration to his team mates. Chris is another unfortunate illustration of how a player's career can be ended at any time, whether young or old.

It is very sad to report Chris passed away in April 2006 after a long fight against illness at only 26 years of age. Chris won many friends in his time at London Wasps, and will be sadly missed by all those at the club who knew and played with him.
